Abstract

With the advent of quantum computing, classical cryptographic protocols face unprecedented challenges due to the potential of quantum computers to break widely used encryption schemes. Hybrid quantum-classical cryptographic protocols present a promising approach to mitigating these challenges by leveraging the strengths of both quantum and classical cryptographic techniques. This paper explores the necessity of hybrid cryptographic solutions, providing a detailed analysis of their design, implementation, and effectiveness in countering quantum threats. Through rigorous experimentation, we evaluate the resilience of hybrid models against classical and quantum attacks. Our findings suggest that hybrid quantum-classical protocols provide enhanced security, maintaining compatibility with existing infrastructure while future-proofing against quantum advancements. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse on post-quantum security, offering a structured pathway toward secure cryptographic frameworks in the era of quantum supremacy.
